Públio was born in Brazil and has dedicated his life to meditation, yoga, and plant medicines for almost 20 years now. He earned a degree in Yoga Therapy at Swami Vivekananda University in Bangalore, India, where he also worked at a Yoga Hospital. He trained in meditation in several traditions while in India, completed an Indian Psychology Course in Pondicherry, and studied meditation at Pa Auk Monastery in Burma.
In 2004 he had his first encounter with plant medicines in Peru with the Shipibo tradition, an indigenous group who work with ayahuasca, and has been working at the Temple of the Way of Light in the Peruvian Amazon Jungle for almost 10 years. He has also worked with this medicine with different traditional groups in Brazil, including Santo Daime. Públio has also been with the Mazatec healers in Mexico, who work with psilocybin since immemorial times. He is now working with an organization called Kiyumi, in the Netherlands, facilitating groups in their journeys with psilocybin.
Since 2017 he has been focusing his work on supporting people in their Integration process of psychedelic experiences, and has completed the Compassionate Inquiry training with Gabor Maté and the Somatic Experiencing training from Peter Levine.
