Freeing Your Fascial Body with Eric Franklin

Imagery, movement, and anatomy for full-body fascial freedom

Freeing Your Fascial Body with Eric Franklin.
Held within your fascia are the patterns of tension, posture, stress, and even emotional habits that shape your body. Join Eric Franklin, founder of the Franklin Method®, for a three-session on-demand workshop on freeing your fascial body. Through Dynamic Neurocognitive Imagery™, anatomical understanding, and gentle movement, learn how to embody your interconnected web of fascia — releasing back pain, improving posture, freeing breath, and unlocking your body's full potential from the inside out.

Comprehensive Curriculum

Session 1 — Introducing Imagery and Embodiment

Explore the art and science of embodiment, and how imagery can improve creativity, cognition, motivation, confidence, mood, and movement. Includes an introduction to the Franklin Method® and Dynamic Neurocognitive Imagery™ (DNI), the role of proprioception in body awareness, and a presentation of the supporting research and evidence.

Session 2 — Embodied Fascia: A New Frontier

A systems and biological approach to fascia. Embody both superficial and deep fascia, work with fascial fibers for connective tissue health, and explore the elastic storage function of tendons and ligaments. Topics include the iliotibial tract for efficient walking and running, myofascial force transmission for coordination, hyaluronan as the flexibility molecule, the relationship between emotions and tight fascia, the difference between muscle and fascia training, and breathing for life.

Session 3 — Fascia and Lower Back Health

Visualize the fascia and muscles of the back, balance and strengthen the lower back fascia, and eliminate tension and pain. Includes specific exercises for thoracolumbar fascia health and abdominal core strength.

Session 4 — Releasing Shoulder and Neck Tension Through Embodied Fascia

Introduce the fascia and muscles of the neck and shoulders, then move through embodied fascia exercises to eliminate shoulder pain, tightness, neck and jaw tension. Includes practices for facial fascia — improving circulation, ease, and beauty from the inside out.
