01 Foundations of Mind-Body Coaching

Students will learn how to conduct an intake and engage in client preparation, including motivation, readiness, informed consent, and clarification of roles. Attending to diverse personal, cultural, and social experiences/identities in mind-body coaching will be highlighted.

This module provides an introduction to coaching practice, including a definition of coaching, its history and roots in psychology, and the differences between coaching and psychotherapy. From there, this module explores the roots of somatic psychology and mind-body coaching. Several practical skills will be introduced, including screening and orientation, inclusion and exclusion criteria, scope of practice, and the art of making referrals.

Learning Outcomes

Students will be able to screen for clients suited to a mind-body coaching approach and orient them to the coaching process, roles, and expectations.

The fundamental work of the Somatic Coach is to guide the person to feel and be with this animating force that makes them alive. This is life moving toward life.

02 Fundamental Mind-Body Coaching Skills

In this module, you'll learn the core coaching competencies that form the backbone of every effective mind-body coaching session. We'll explore how to cultivate presence, track somatic cues, and hold space for transformation through evidence-based coaching techniques grounded in embodiment.

Build the foundational skills of mind-body coaching: deep listening, powerful questioning, somatic attunement, and creating safety in the coaching relationship.

This module introduces the first wave of practical mind-body interventions you'll use with clients. You'll practice delivering each tool with precision and compassion, learning when and how to apply them based on your client's unique presentation.

No, this is an integrated curriculum co-created by the faculty. The faculty are colleagues in this program. They are working together to make sure each individual module is cohesive with the entire curriculum. Every teacher is informed about what is coming before and what is coming after and integrating their curriculum based on that information.

Will I receive a certificate?

You'll receive a Certificate of Completion once you have completed the following:

  • Attended the live sessions or watched the recordings.
  • Completed the Self Evaluation & Reflections after each module. (Please note: This should be completed within 3 months after the last live session.)
  • Completed 4 sessions (45 mins or longer) outside of class times. A session is considered a practice together with the application of the tools learned.
  • Submitted full payment.

All students who complete this program will receive a Certificate of Completion whether they attend it LIVE or watch the RECORDINGS.

Will Continuing Education (CEs) be offered?

120 CE hours · ICF CCE credits available, this program offers up to 120 hours of professional development.
