Summit: Embodying Creativity
Comprehensive Curriculum
Welcome & Meditation
Dr. Scott Lyons · 30-minute experiential session
An opening meditation and welcome to set the tone for a day of embodied creative exploration.
Session 1 — Expanding Our Resources Within: Integrating Somatic Wisdom with Creativity for Trauma Recovery
Atira Tan · 75-minute experiential session
Resources are essential in trauma recovery — they support us in maintaining a sense of self and balance amid disruption. Atira Tan, with nearly fifteen years of trauma-informed experience, shares creative arts and somatic therapeutic approaches to expand and anchor inner resources, returning us to our sense of self.
Session 2 — Clown: The Freedom to Be Yourself
Pedro Fabiao · 75-minute experiential session
Embody the qualities of the clown — playfulness, connection, empathy, risk, surprise, creativity, and abandonment. Through breath, attention, and reaction, celebrate the fallible, imperfect body as the gateway to spontaneity, authenticity, and meaning. Discover the role of body impulses and emotions in self-expression, presence, and tension release with international clown, director, and psychologist Pedro Fabiao.
Session 3 — Drawing Forward with Hope
Curie Scott · 75-minute experiential session
A reflexive workshop on expressive drawing as a path through visceral responses to crisis — fear, distress, boredom, apathy — and into hope. No drawing skill required. Embodied drawing as sacred space for reconnection, healing, and gentle forward momentum. (Bring paper and drawing materials; dress for comfortable movement.)
Session 4 — Self Through Sound: Self-Expression and Healing Through Singing and Vocalization
Muriel Christonai · 75-minute experiential session
Muriel shares her personal learnings on embodying the core Self through singing, vocalization, and song-writing. The first half offers an experiential creation process; the second is a live demonstration and sound transmission for deep Self-connection, integration, and wholeness. Her music is likened to clearing the cobwebs of an ancient inner cathedral, inviting surrender into power, love, and peace.
Session 5 — More Together Than Alone
Michael Molin-Skelton · 75-minute experiential session
While many shelter in place, perhaps what is being asked is that we grow in place — nurturing our common roots so we can branch out into the world together. A session on resilience, sacred connection, and faith over fear, exploring how to build something together that cannot be built alone.
