Jacquie Compton, RP, RCAT (she/her) is a bi-racial Black woman, registered psychotherapist, art therapist, supervisor, and poet. Born in Toronto and raised in St. Lucia, she is a faculty member and clinical supervisor at the Toronto Art Therapy Institute, teaching trauma-informed practice, embodiment, and anti-oppressive approaches. With 15+ years in the Violence Against Women sector, she runs a private practice focused on trauma, intergenerational and racialized trauma. A certified sensorimotor psychotherapist, Jacquie's work is rooted in anti-racist, decolonizing, and embodied practice.
