Renew and manifest for the year ahead

The holidays are a prime time to renew, restore, and create space to usher in the new year. It's a time to tune in, identify and bring forth that which wishes to manifest in the year ahead. In order to create space to manifest, we must pause, turn inwards, quieten, and allow the possibility of self-renewal.

Self renewal is a natural path that maps our transformation and growth on all levels. It’s a vital part of the process of becoming who you are and who you want to be. Self renewal has distinct phases:

  • Taking stock

  • Letting go

  • Nurture & Nourish

  • Rise & Shine

Explore these journal prompts from our dear friend Chara Caruthers to explore self-renewal and manifest wholeness, fulfilment, joy and peace in the year ahead.

Phase 1: Taking Stock

Getting clear and present to who and where you are, what you want and what you need. As we wrap up this most recent season of the year take the time to journal around the following questions:

  • Who are you right now?

  • What are the qualities of this season that you’re in and the one that you’re moving into

  • What have you learned from the season that you’re leaving or have left behind

  • What aspects of this season ahead can you celebrate

  • What aspects of YOU in this season can you enjoy

Unimaginable happiness is right in front of you ready to be claimed.
— Chara Caruthers

Phase 2: Letting Go

Easing your internal and external burden, creating an environment that allows your system to operate in the most efficient way possible, recognizing that everything we experience or hold onto requires a degree of energy to process and integrate. Letting go creates space for digesting vital aspects of life. These prompts will help you identify that which you may like to release in the year ahead:

  • What is essential (in life and in the moment)?

  • What is challenging your stability?

  • What CAN you let go of?

  • What are you WILLING to let go of?

Letting go is a vital part of being able to embody the lightness of being that is our birthright.

So this question should be one that you’re asking yourself every day. What is truly essential in your living, being, and travelling through the world?

What is truly essential in your living, being, and travelling through the world?

Phase 3: Nurture and Nourish

Fortifying your foundation and feeding it with the love or food that it needs to grow. Try these prompts to explore how to bring more nourishment into your world:

  • What feeds you?

  • What ideas, images, experiences support your authenticity, wellbeing and growth?

  • What are you open to receive?.

Phase 4: Rise and Shine

This is the natural expression of a well tuned, well fed person that is unburdened, energized and fortified by love and a stable foundation.  We’ve all experienced these moments of rising and shining.  These beautiful and natural expressions of who we are that come from feeling grounded and loved.  These moments give us a view into our dharma, why we’re here and who we’re here to be.. And these glimpses can help to guide us further along the path. Consider these questions:

  • What needs to be expressed?

  • How do you honor your personal truth?

  • How willing are you to share your truth with others?

Take a moment to review what you’ve written or experienced.  How does this process of renewal sit with you?  Which aspects are the most enticing and juicy?  Which aspects feel the most challenging?  What picture have you created?  What actions might flow naturally from your current understanding?
