The Fall Mentorship program runs live and online from November 14th, 2024 - April 10th, 2025
In this unique program, you will interact with your esteemed mentors through three main components:
Master-level Embodied Practitioner Skills workshops.
Live demonstrations of working with clients followed by discussion, debriefing of the techniques utilized, and questions and answers.
Case study supervision, in which you can provide questions about clients or organizations you are working with and receive direct support and nurturing feedback.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM
DEEPEN AND REFINE YOUR SKILLS AS A SOMATIC PRACTITIONER
Our Somatic Practitioner Mentorship program is designed to offer you a container of support as you develop your skills as a Somatic Practitioner or Therapist. It will also help guide and enhance your personal process and practice of the tools you have gained in either your Certificate program with The Embody Lab, or other somatic-based programs.
If you want to deepen your understanding of the practice of somatic therapies, refine your skills as a practitioner, and enhance your capacity to offer this life-changing work to others… this program is for you!
The Fall Mentorship program runs live and online from November 14th, 2024 - April 10th, 2025.
The mentorship program includes:
Six 3-hour mentoring sessions.
Four 90-minute master level Embodied Practitioner Skills workshops to deepen and enhance your practitioner skills.
Each 3-hour mentoring session will include:
Part 1: Live demonstration of working with a client from a esteemed mentor, followed by a deconstruction of that session, analysis of techniques used, and question and answer
Part 2: Guidance for up to four case studies per session with three of our esteemed mentoring faculty supporting the practitioners
All sessions will be recorded and participants will receive lifetime access to the recordings at no extra cost.
Deepen your embodiment and learn practical applications of Somatic Therapy
Through demonstrations led by your mentors, you will witness and experience the application and integration of the somatic and body-based healing techniques explored in our Certificate Programs.
Case-Studies
As a participant you will be invited to submit a case study prior to each mentoring session for guidance and support by three of our esteemed mentoring faculty during the live sessions. Up to four case-studies will be explored per mentoring session.
All participants will have the opportunity to participate in the discussion and Q&A.
HOW SOMATICS HELPS HEAL
‘Soma’ is a Greek word for ‘the living body known from within’, or known to the Self. This ‘knowing’ signifies wholeness. Somatic therapy is an experiential approach towards mind-body integration. The pain, overwhelm, and coping responses manifested by trauma take us away from feeling at home in our body, and as a result there is often a split within ourselves.
Somatic Therapy helps:
Restore the body as a place of safety while helping to expand the capacity to process body (preverbal and nonverbal) memory
Metabolize unprocessed emotions
Complete thwarted (incomplete) stress responses
Restore our optimal relationship to our self and the world around us
Somatic trauma therapy offers techniques for clients to sense and regulate their own physiology and states of being. This includes building more internal and external resources, building trusting and co-regulatory relationships, learning to turn inward with compassion, being invited deeper into the body, and being given time and space to process the trauma. These somatic techniques unwind trauma and restore well-being.

WHO IS THIS TRAINING FOR?
Students must have completed or be currently enrolled in one or more of The Embody Lab’s Certificate programs or completed a somatic practitioner program from other schools.

Yes. If you’ve completed previous embodiment or somatic based certificates and/or work as a somatic practitioner (including body worker, yoga teacher, therapist, etc.) and you want to deepen your understanding of the material and refine your skills as a practitioner in order to enhance your capacity to offer this work to others, then this program is for you.

FALL MENTORSHIP: Nov 14th, 2024 - Apr 10th, 2025
The mentorship program includes six 3-hour Mentoring Sessions that will consist of live demonstrations and interactive case studies-supervision.
The mentorship program also includes four 90-minute Master-level Embodied Practitioner Skills Workshops to deepen and enhance your practitioner skills.
The mentorship program includes a Community Connection session led by Dr. Scott Lyons.
HOMEWORK
There will be a Self Evaluation due at the close of the program. Please see Certificate of Completion below for more.
LEARNING PLATFORM FORMAT
ZOOM: The live portion of the certificate program will be offered online using the video conferencing platform Zoom, in meeting format, to allow instructors and students to interact, ask questions and participate in breakout sessions.
ONLINE LEARNING PLATFORM: The online learning platform will host all the information about the course including:
Detailed schedule and reminder emails of upcoming sessions
How to access the live sessions via Zoom
Supporting materials such as PDFs of the reading material and presentations
ACCESSIBILITY
VIDEO / AUDIO: Within the online learning platform, students may watch the video within their online library or download the video or audio to their computer. They will have lifetime access to the content.
LIVE CAPTIONING / TRANSCRIPTS: Captioning during live sessions and transcripts will be offered in English.
READING LISTS: Each instructor will provide required or recommended readings.
Required readings will be available freely online or in PDF format.
Recommended readings are optional and for futher exploration. They may include books, online articles etc.

This is an education program and not a licenser program.
+ What are the dates, schedule and time commitment?

No there will not be an orientation session.
+ Do I need to attend live or am I able to watch recordings?
All live sessions will also be recorded and students may watch in their own time (more information below). Please note, captioning is only available during the live sessions.
+ How can I interact with the instructor? Will I receive guidance?
During each of the live sessions, the instructors will have a Q&A period where you may ask questions. A community connection session will also be offered with Dr. Scott Lyons. A private online community forum will be provided for the certificate.
+ Do you offer scholarships?
There are no scholarships available for this program.
+ What are the homework requirements?
There will be a 250-word Self Evaluation due within three months of the close of the live program.
+ Is there a deadline for registration?
Registration is open until the day before the program commences on November 13th, 2024.
+ Do you offer refunds?
We offer a Registration Guarantee which means that if you register but decide the course isn’t right for you, we’ll refund your course fee - no questions asked - up to 48 hours before the course start date. No refunds are available after this time or once the program commences.

+ Is this a summit?
No, this is an integrated curriculum co-created by the faculty. The faculty are colleagues in this program. They are working together to make sure each individual module is cohesive with the entire curriculum. Every teacher is informed about what is coming before and what is coming after and integrating their curriculum based on that information.
+ Is this a theoretical or practical (experiential) program?
While some theory will be presented to support the learning, the primary focus of the practice is experiential, giving practical tools for the participants.
+ Will I receive a certificate?
You’ll receive a Certificate of Completion once you have completed the following:
- Attended the live sessions or watched the recordings.
- Watched all pre-recorded interviews.
- Completed the 250-word Self Evaluation. (Please note: This should be completed within 3 months after the last live session.)
- Submitted full payment.
All students who complete this program will receive a Certificate of Completion whether they attend LIVE or watch the RECORDINGS.
