ABOUT THIS MASTER CLASS

The body learns on “yes” – meaning we practice and change toward what we want, not solely away from what we don’t want. What do you long for, who do you love, and how do you want to leverage your courage? Somatics helps us to discover our answers to these, and then transform toward them.

We are built for safety, belonging, and dignity. Yet, our social conditions do not grant these to all peoples. Often our lived experiences leave us with traumas instead, and embodying our social conditions, even when we don’t agree with them. We have automatic adaptations and survival strategies to navigate all of this. Yet often, these survival strategies outlive their usefulness, and are at odds with our vision and values. In this master class, we’ll explore our love, callings, and courage, and how to cultivate these into choices and actions. We’ll learn about embodied survival strategies and how to transform those that no longer serve us. This healing opens choice, allowing us to act toward what we care about, rather than be caught in reaction. We’ll practice to embody our values, visions, boldness, and change-ability.
