ABOUT THIS MASTER CLASS
"Once you have seen the whole pattern, you cannot go back to seeing the part as a whole."
— URSULA LEGUIN
The trauma response is a set of defensive bodily reactions (fight, flight, freeze) that we initially mobilize to protect ourselves physically and emotionally. Still, sometimes this protective mechanism gets stuck. We can become frozen in the past, unable to be fully present in the here and now, and unable to move forward in life with joy, detached from history but intruding into the present.
With the increasing frequency of natural and human-made threats actively being in the present and future, it is essential to understand that ongoing trauma is a personal issue and a global issue. This online workshop with Dr. Levine based on the teachings of Somatic Experiencing® will explore the various levels of interconnection among individual, family, and social traumas, which may impact the health, well-being, and relationship dynamics for many subsequent generations.
The workshop experience will include a didactic lecture, short group SE™ exercises, and Q&A.
