We gathered on July 18th, 2020 for this One-Day Online Summit to deepen our somatic yoga healing journey around the theme “The Body as Nature.”
Like the forest and the ocean, we are nature. Loosing touch with the experience of our essential nature creates a systemic pain that emerges as isolation and separateness. Reclaiming our essential nature is the foundation for experiencing a sense of wholeness.

A 90-MINUTE EXPERIENTIAL SESSION
It feels like now is the time for eliminating what is unnecessary, storing up only what is needed. The return to a more Yin, but still Yang phase.
Among other things, we will explore Flow (Yang) in the container (Yin)- Breath and presence under your skin. As we tap into the power of not two but three lungs that we have, we are tapping into the alchemical superpower described as the “ ultimate let go” in Chinese Medicine; what is meant to stay will stay and what is meant to leave will leave.
This session is for everyone as I will be demonstrating in the beginning of the class the few āsanas we will use as containers. This is a somatic yin yoga/movement session where we are embodying the elemental phases and presencing especially the power of resting in movement, Yin.

Yoking to the Inherent Potency
A 90-MINUTE EXPERIENTIAL SESSION
In this class we yoke to the inherent life force within, a force that is at once ancient and yet always immediate and continuously evolving. Each of us has a signature pulse, rhythm and flow that is unique to us and thus a meditation and movement practice should support the optimal vitality of this sacred pulse. In this class, Tias begins by providing an overview of the inherent potency and how it relates to prana in yoga. In practice we develop an intimate connection to this potency via the breath, the bloodstream and lymphatic flow. Tias guides students in both meditation and movement practices to listen to the power of this pulse, to recognize its frequency and to animate its presence. This practice is at once profoundly restorative and enlivening.

We are always in intimate relationship with all that is. We breathe it, we live on it and we swim in the sea of Radiant Awareness.
Explore this with me asana and pranayama as we breathe and move from the depth of the personal and into the universal.
We will explore it with love, sweet vulnerability, power, and compassion for our humanity and our very Being-ness.

Ayurveda holds that we are made of the same things as the stars and moons, the people we love, the food we eat and the environments we live in.
The five great elements… space, air, fire, water, earth. Each informs and supports everything about our experience of living and our practice of yoga.
In this asana class we’ll explore the qualities of each of the five elements, within and without, honoring our connection to everything around us, on a journey that will ultimately bring us back to ourselves.

Tantrik Yoga
A 90-MINUTE EXPERIENTIAL SESSION
Join Kara-Leah for a Tantrik Yoga class where she will share the practice she learned in 2010 from Christopher Tompkins. This is the same practice she committed to a 1000 Day Practice of in 2015... and by the time this class rolls around, she'll be on about Day 990! The practice is seated and consists of breath work, visualisation, mudras, bandhas, chanting and meditation. It is suitable for beginners, and those with more experience.
