What is Somatic Parts Work

Description

Somatic Parts Work integrates the methodology of Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS) and other trauma-informed models to support you in healing underlying past trauma and pain.
IFS is grounded on the idea that our inner world consists of a system made up of various parts (sub-personalities). In an attempt to protect us from pain, our parts may conflict with each other and act in unhelpful ways. Somatic Parts Work helps us to work with these parts in order to experience greater internal harmony and cohesion.

What can I expect in a session?

You will learn techniques to access your inner healer - known as the core Self - and work with your inner protectors, the parts that defend you from pain and danger. You will learn how to relate to all of your parts with openness, curiosity, and compassion.

How can it help me?

Somatic Parts Work will help you understand more about what holds you back from creating the life you want, transform stuck parts of yourself into inner resources of strength, love, and freedom, remove barriers in your relationships, and gain a deeper understanding of yourself and others.

You will learn practices that give you a felt connection to your core self, helping to heal and integrate mind and body. This integration can lead to an increased sense of wholeness and compassion for yourself and others.

Who is it for?

Anyone looking to heal past trauma and pain by increasing their felt connection to their core self and exploring the unconscious beliefs they hold.

Through Somatic Parts Work you can find a stronger felt connection to your core self, helping to heal and integrate mind and body. This integration can lead to an increased sense of wholeness and compassion for yourself and others.
