Meet your Embodied Social Justice Certificate Co-Director - Dr Sará King
The Embodied Lab’s 60-hour Embodied Social Justice Certificate Program starts April 1st! We recently caught up with our Co-Director, Dr Sará King. Here’s what she had to say about the upcoming program and why she is so excited to bring it to life!
Hi everyone, Dr King here. I want to take a moment and express how much joy and excitement and anticipation is alive in my body when I think about the upcoming Embodied Social Justice Certificate program starting in April of 2022.
One of the things that's really been on my heart and my mind is how much incredible isolation so many of us have had to endure in this pandemic and the ways in which as an adaptation to that isolation we've really had to lean into our digital communities.
So the Embodied Social Justice Certificate program represents an opportunity. It’s truly a one-of-a-kind opportunity in this second year of our program to gather together in a virtual space and engage in some really deep learning about the future of embodied social justice, the history of it, and its development, the current status of it. And also the way in which it is going to guide us into the future that we truly seek to co-create together.

There's going to be a lot of opportunities to gather in community and I'm very excited as the director of community engagement for this program to have a lot of opportunities to connect with you personally myself.
We are all so incredibly honored to have the chance to show up on a regular basis and really engage in the practice of creating a loving container for us all to be able to show up, share, express what it is that we need, what we're going through, our perspectives, and all of the many myriad ways in which inevitably, we are going to transform for the better as a part of going through this program and this process together.
So I'm very much looking forward to seeing all of you in April and I hope to see you in the beginning information session that will be happening in March of 2022.
